Why Sports ?

Today half of the world’s population (almost 3 billion people) is under the age of 25. Over 1.2 billion people are between the age group of 10 to 19, and 85% of the world’s youth live in developing countries. In such a scenario, it becomes essential to engage young people and make them a part of the process of social change.

Sport plays a significant role in engaging young people and channelizing their energy in positive direction. We at Magician Foundation (India) have engaged with youth and children from disadvantage background for over a decade. We believe in the power of sports. Magician was conceived with the idea of ensuring access to sports for all and sustainability through Yuwa Rugby leader’s development by providing livelihood support to them. Our goal is to promote Sports for Development as a sustainable business and development model in different parts of India.

Why Rugby?

Rugby is a wonderful sport that is also a tool that can be used with both children and adults.

There are a multitude of reasons why rugby is an ideal sport. It requires a relatively small amount of land and minimal equipment. It is also inclusive as anyone can play, regardless of gender, age and experience.
